ARIS FC registered a vital victory in Corfu winning 4-3 after an eventful game. After just 7 minutes Masnov broke the deadlock for the hosts before Faty levelled for ARIS on 26 minutes. In the very next move referee Sidiropoulos choose not to show a red card to Paraskevaidis who was the last man after a foul on Koke. Kerkyra went further ahead in the 31st minute with a well-taken free kick from Grammozis.
The second half saw Kerkyra start the better of the two sides, but Sifakis and the post kept out Masnov’s header keeping the score at 2-1. On 65 minutes Lazaridis headed home to level the scores before Castillo put ARIS ahead with a nice finish to make it 2-3. Koke made the score 2-4 after 76 minutes, before Gustavo pulled a goal back for the hosts on 80 minutes. The game would finish 4-3 to ARIS but it is worth mentioning that after Castillo’s goal fans of the home team attacked the press and TV areas causing damage to journalists from Thessaloniki!!!
