Important win in season opener 29/08/10 22:53 ARIS got their 2010/11 Super League campaign of to a perfect start with a 1-0 win at Kavala. Coach Cuper made 7 changes to the side that had battled so hard in Austria midweek and the all important goal was scored by centre back Oriol after a strong shot in the 26th minute. ARIS F.C beat Austria Wien with a solitary goal at the Kleanthis Vikelidis stadium in their bid to qualifying for the group stages of the Europa League. The Austrians prove to be a stern test for ARIS F.C and it was Carlos Ruiz who scored the all important goal deep into stoppage time. Austria Wien created some good chances to score during the first half but Greek international goalkeeper Sifakis stopped evrything. Read more...

ARIS F.C announced the promotion of George Katidis to the first team squad. The player signed his new 3 year contract in front of president Athanasiadis, executive director Kontis and general director Eleftheroudis. Katidis was born on 12-02-1993 and is a midfielder. He took part in all training sessions in Austria and Switzerland and coach Hector Cuper decide that he should sign a new contract.
